It's a pretty impressive picture, isn't it? There aren't many collegiate choral music programs that can boast that sort of male participation. They're conducted by Rosalind Hall, and I hear she rules with power and grace. If she were from the south, we'd call her a "steel magnolia," defined as one who is strong and independent yet very feminine.
I had a chance to eat some Thai food with Rosalind and the rest of the BYU choral conductors over in Denmark and found her to be warm and friendly . . . a quality person. All three conductors were.
Rosalind and Ron Staheli talked some about an upcoming DVD they are producing on conducting. It looks to be a serious undertaking: 8 DVD's if I remember correctly!
Here's to BYU . . . setting high standards for us all.
