Megill appointed to Carmel Bach Festival

Andrew Megill, professor of choral conducting at Westminster Choir College, has been appointed associate conductor of the prestigious Carmel Bach Festival.
As choral conductor for the Spoleto Festival, Megill has had a distinguished record of preparation of choruses for a long list of well-known conductors, including Jules Rudel, Richard Bradshaw, Joseph Flummerfelt, Dennis Russel Davies, Zdenek Macal, Rafael Frubeck de Burgos, Pierre Boulez, Neeme Jarvi, Charles Dutoit and Kurt Masur.

As associate conductor, Megill will be responsible for leading the Carmel Bach Festival chorale and overseeing choral performances. He joins vocal coordinator and education director David Gordon and John Koza, chorus and youth chorus director, in developing the vocal ensembles for the festival.
