I didn't know Matt, but I just read about his murder in the ChoralNet news section. It's shocking to read about his death; we don't hear about too many choral directors losing their life at the hands of their students.Matt's students and friends held a beautiful memorial service for him - read about it here and watch the video. It looks like our profession lost a special young man.
