An excerpt from Richard Einhorn's new oratorio The Origin, about the life of Charles Darwin, which will premiere February 9, 2009. Inspired by Haydn's Creation, this also begins with a representation of the primordial chaos, shown in part below. The Eastern European women's choir Kitka will perform in the premiere, although the video below (with photos of the Galapagos) is synthesized.
