New ChoralNet Podcast: Interview with King's Singer Christopher Gabbitas

A new ChoralNet podcast is here, this one an interview with a member of the King's Singer's from June 16: Christopher Gabbitas. It's a promotional strategy for the group regarding the release of their new album "Simple Gifts."

We talked for over an hour but I've only included the parts about the music in the new album on this podcast.

We talked in depth about three works on the new CD:
1. New Day (a new recording of this work)
2. You Can Close Your Eyes (James Taylor)
3. Valparaiso (Sting)

Download the podcast here. (20 mb)

Technologies I used:

SKYPE: tech to place the call to a landline for .02 a minute
SAMSON CO1U USB microphone: (I upgraded microphones for this interview)
POWERGRAMO: New recording software for the conversation. Works better than HotRecorder, my old recording software for this.
AUDACITY: Open source software for putting the whole thing together
