Instant Choir

From the Allentown (PA) Morning Call:
"Anyone who shows up at 9:15 a.m. on one of the Instant Choir Sundays will get to sing in the 10:15 a.m. service. The music will be fun, easy to learn and accessible to all ages and musical skill levels. As we learn the piece that morning, we'll decide how to jazz it up a bit, depending on how many singers we get and how quickly we learn the main song.''

John's sense of humor was evident in the way he wrapped up the write-up: ''If you're already singing in a choir, I hope you'll join in as well. I'll be there, ready to sing a solo or lead a 40-voice, multi-part extravaganza. Don't let me do those solos!''
The concept of an ad-hoc summer church choir isn't exactly revelatory, but this guy has a good PR angle.
