Michelle Bennett is a Swiss singer who blogs. I've followed her blog for some time and have found it to provide excellent insight into the mind and practices of solo singers.
She recently came up with five reasons she blogs, and here is my favorite:
Clarity:
Blogging forces you to get clear about your own singing. I have experienced increased clarity concerning many vague and abstract singery topics since starting my blog in 2006. Blogging has helped me organize my thoughts on many occasions. If you are not able to describe something about singing – be it via a picture, a description of a feeling, an analysis or intellectualization, or a state of being (best is if you can do it in all ways) – chances are you do not understand it yourself.
